Hello once again everyone!Following from my last blog on the Tresemme Keratin Review, I needed to urgently post this when I got the time to, because I needed to warn people about the Tresemme Keratin. If you want to continue onto the blog read onto the next two paragraphs down :)

Its nothing to 100% worry about, its just so you can keep you hair beautiful. I've had the keratin product for a while now and after 3 weeks of using it, my hair started to get brittle and dry again. I was very confused on how this happened so I contacted Tresemme themselves and it turned out I was putting to much keratin in my hair which made sense. They recommended most of the Platinum Strength range, but I only purchased the shampoo and the leave in conditioner but that will be in another blog later on. Just thought I'd let you know asap before it was too late!

I now have the Platinum Strength shampoo and I was hesitant of it at first, because there was so many different reviews on it, and I honestly couldn't decide or not, until the incident with the keratin shampoo so I kinda had too.It done surprisingly well for me, didn't think this would work, but once again Tresemme surprised me.

This product states that it will:

  • Visibly repairs up to two years of damage in 5 uses
  • Stronger hair
  • More manageable and beautiful healthy hair

I can't really give a review about the two years damage one fully because you need to combine it with the Platinum conditioner, but my hair has been doing great with just the Naturals I've been using. The other points though, I can say for my hair it worked. Its made my hair a lot smooth, doesn't get as tangled and the smell is beautiful as ever. It comes in 500ml bottle and its back on full price now, but im sure it will be back down and its still worth paying the full price for it.

I combine this product with the Platinum Leave in,while my hair is damp or dry, and it keeps my hair smooth for the rest of the day.Pictures are to follow below :)

Tresemme Platinum Strength Leave In:

I've been using this for about 2 weeks now and even though its meant to be used on damp hair, I sometimes use it on dry hair if i can't be bothered to make my hair damp (lazy i know). It comes in a 125ml bottle and is also back up to full price, but still worth it.

It states that it will:
  • Strengthens hair
  • Locks in moisture
  • Making hair soft and manageable
  • Healthy looking hair
I'm kinda annoyed because this product was out of stock everywhere, and I've nearly ran out of this product and i NEED MORE! This makes my hair extra soft, and keeps my curls in place. I use it after the conditioner while my hair is still damp, run it through my hair and leave it to air dry. I also apply it after straightening my hair so its nice and soft and it looks shiny too. I prefer to have my hair natural now, i only straighten it when its a special event or something.

I am so more comfortable with my hair natural now. I don't have to worry that I've got a horrible dry mop attached to my head, and it makes me feel more confident in myself too. Hope this blog has been some form of help to you all.  Got any questions feel free to comment or message me.

Hellooooooo I am such a happy person right now, because Tresemme have completely changed my hair and I've felt so happy and confident in my life! After reviewing there Keratin Heat Spray, I was tempted to try there shampoo as well and to mix it with my Tresemme Natural Conditioner. If your confused on why I didn't purchase the keratin conditioner, is because the amount of negative feedback it was getting, and there was no way I was risking it!

Tresemme Keratin Smooth Shampoo:

This product has came from heaven, I've never experienced a shampoo like this, and more of a surprise that it actually works on my hair! This product states that it will:
  • Makes your hair smoother, straighter an easier to style
  • Reduces frizz
  • Leaves hair gorgeously sleek and manageable
  • Its also gentle for colour treated hair
That is a lot to offer for someone's hair, especially if its dry and damaged, and I will admit i thought only 1 of 4 would work but I was so very wrong.

This is the bottle, and it comes in 500ml. It's on sale at superdrug right now for £2.45 which again is a great bargain. So as usual washed my hair until it was damp, and the first thing I noticed about this product was the smell. Its not overpowering, its just about right and it makes you feel all good having hair smelling nice. The application to my hair was also very easy to do.The only was I can describe it, is that it was gooey, so it was really easy to apply through my curls. Left it on there for about 3minutes then washed it out. My hair was already feeling soft and the smell just made it even better.

Tresemme  Naturals Vibrantly Smooth Conditioner:

I've been using this product for 3weeks now, just been co washing, and it has been superb for my hair! This product is designed for people that do not want to apply silicone to there hair. Ok, so this product states:
  • Smooths away frizz
  • Hair looking shiny
  • Healthy looking hair
  • Silicone free
Another product that offers a lot and I was surprised it actually done what was stated.

Another big 500ml bottle and its priced at £2.45 at superdrug. I applied this straight after the shampoo and it has a similar smell as the shampoo, and this product is thick, but it was easy to apply to my hair. Left it on there for another 3minutes then washed it out. From what I remember, I've never seen my hair in such beautiful curls, I was going to leave it that way, but I had to test the theory of straightening it!

Here are two photo's of what my hair looked like a month ago damp, compared to what it looks like now after applying those two Tresemme products:

You can see the difference between them both so easily it is ridiculous that such a product could make my hair like that!

The next thing i had to do was dry it and I wasn't going to sit around waiting for it to air dry, so got the hair dryer. I sprayed a few of Tresemme's Keratin Heat Spray to protect from heat damage. (review here: http://shanisedoestresemme.blogspot.co.uk/2013/07/hellobeen-little-while-since-i-last.html )

After blow-drying I sprayed some more of the heat protectant and applied straighteners to my hair. It wasn't to make it completely straight because with curly hair like mine it never straighten's straight away, it was just for when I wake up in the morning I won't have some 80's afro stuck to my head.  It didn't straighten to bad considering my hair never does after a wash. Here's a photo:

My hair all over was pretty much like that, but it still had that fluffyness to it. Spent the rest of the day watching it, didn't frizz at all, went to bed with how it was, woke up and it still looked the same which is a good sign! Applied heat spray, then my straighteners, but I didn't want it to be polka straight all over, I wanted it to be nice and wavy. I tested the theory of it being polka straight and I can confirm that it works and also it takes less uses for it to keep going over the hair. For my whole hair to be done it took roughly around 35-40minutes which beats the 1hour or longer time than before! I am very impressed, here are the results:

You can tell by my huge grin in this photo that I am very happy with the results!I've never felt so happy with my hair like this, its just so perfect for me!I just want to say this photo was taken today, and I applied the shampoo and conditioner yesterday, so for something to work so fast and straight away is fantastic! It's still the same now while I type this and its just such a miracle.

Before I finish this blog I have a little tip for protecting hair more. If your in the UK like me right now, the weather is ridiculously hot and my hair tends to frizz out like Simba from the lion king. What I do before I go out, is spray a few of Tresemme's Keratin Heat Protectant then head out for the day, and not only is your hair protected from the sun, its also reduces frizz and makes your hair more shiny so give it a go.

That's my review on these two products and I hope you've enjoyed reading it. If you have any questions feel free to comment below and I'll try my best to answer them all :)

Quick update to everyone!I will like to warn people when using the keratin smooth shampoo, I would recommend to NOT use this to continuously as a treatment!Reason being my hair started to get dryish after the third wash and I didn't know why. Luckily I contacted Tresemme themselves and I was applying to much Keratin to my hair, so they recommended me Platinum Strength shampoo. I will post the blog as soon as i get the time to :)

Hello!Been a little while since i last posted a review on a hair product, but finally got the time to do some! Now as some of you may know,i normally do reviews for Afro Caribbean hair products, and tend to avoid products that aren't really specifically made for our hair types.

I've been with Tresemme before which was a long long time ago and there products really didn't do anything at all for me, apart from making my hair smell beautiful. So its now hit summer here in the uk, and for me personally, it makes it a lot more difficult for me to have my hair all curly because 1.It makes me more hot and 2. I CAN'T TIE IT UP!, so i really needed to do something different with it, which came to the conclusion of straightening it. For some odd reason, I wanted to get a heat protectant spray to see if it will actually make any difference this time round and I'm glad I did.

Decided to go with Tresemme's new product: Keratin Smooth Heat Protection Shine Spray just to see really what the big fuss was all about.

This is what the bottle looks like and you get a reasonable amount of it too. Its on sale for £2.95 at Superdrug, which is brilliant, because I didn't think a product this good will be that cheap!

The first time I used this was before straightening my hair. I put my hair into sections, sprayed 2-3 times from top middle bottom, making sure both sides are protected, then glided my straightener through with my comb and repeat until its straight. The affects were there immediately, I only had to pass through my hair 3-5 times (depending on the curliness area)  and it was shiny, soft and surprisingly straight, which is a complete shocker! It lasted the whole day without a single bit of frizzyness, and got complimented more too, which definitely proves it works! The only thing I was worrying about was waking up to a chimney sweep hairstyle!

So second day wake up, and my hair is still intact of being straight. Decided to add a little wave to it too and I was still worried about it frizzing though or getting damaged from the hot weather, so i sprayed at least 6 sprays on my hair and headed out for the day. At one point, I got caught up in a hair swept moment in the car, where my hair just got bashed my wind, and my first panic was "my hair is going to frizz up!" just like blow drying, and I didn't believe it, my hair somehow still stayed intact.Lesson learnt not to drive like this

I'm now on my third day, and its still exactly the same which I'm really grateful for! It's boosted my confidence even more now and I don't get to hot with this hair either as its easy to tie up! So far this product has done everything I wanted it to, and that could be also because of the Silicone that's in it, so what I've decided is to give this product at least two more weeks of reviewing before I can give a certainty on it. I've heard from reviews and hairdressers that Silicone coats your hair and basically suffocates it, and after a while the effects start to show. I'm willing to risk this just to see if this will do any harm, but I really can't see Tresemme risking something like that, especially as Britain And Irelands Next Top Model promote them.

But the review for it now, its a fantastic product and I recommend it, just to try for the first week, because the silicone wouldn't do the damage that quick, and I will keep you all updated too

UPDATE 13/07/2013

I decided to upload a photo  now of when my hair was straightened on the first day after using this. Bearing on mind my hair is ridicously curly and straightening would be a struggle, but it seems tresemme have different things planned for my hair :D  I've also just done a Tresemme Kertain Smooth Shampoo and Tresemme Natural's Conditioner so check that out here:
